Ithaca Freeskool Open House
The Alternatives Library is open 7 days a week, but this time we’re open specially for the Ithaca Freeskool Winter Session.
We will be serving refreshments, giving a tour of our collection & new shelving scheme, and creating a space for dialogue about alternative media and the role of libraries in social movements. There will also be a photo booth for sharing your favorite books in one of our collaborative outreach campaigns.
New sections at the Alternatives Library include (in alphabetical order of course) Anarchist Studies, Asian American Studies, Community Organizing, DIY Self-Sufficiency, Food Justice, Graphic Novels, Herbalism & Plant Lore, LGBTQ Studies, Local Recreation, Race Studies, Sexual Health, and a unique archive of people’s history posters.
