Join MEChA de Cornell for a Poetry and Storytelling writing workshop leading up to our open-mic night next week on Nov. 1 @ the Alternatives Library. We are celebrating Dia de los Muertos by sharing the stories of our ancestors. Come through 7-8PM (and bring your friends!) to write about your roots in a low-pressure and fun environment–led by Elijah Ruiz, as seen on Netflix. We will provide paper and pencils!

And then join MEChA de Cornell on Thursday, November 1st for a night of storytelling, poems, and meditations at the Durland Alternatives Library in Anabel Taylor Hall! The theme of the night is Our Ancestors – Honoring Our Past, whatever that means to you.

Performances can include original pieces or your favorite works, and the stage is open to everyone regardless of ethnicity.

Sign-ups are at 6:30 and the evening will start at 7pm.

Snacks and refreshments will be for sale (cash/venmo).
